崖上的波妞：原聲帶 [2LP]

The laser etching on that fourth side is such a nice touch—it makes the whole thing feel special even when there's no music playing. Joe Hisaishi's melodies sound warm and full across both records, and flipping from track one to the end feels like reliving the whole film.

The laser etching on the fourth side is such a nice touch, it makes the whole package feel special even before you drop the needle. Joe Hisaishi’s melodies sound incredibly warm and full on this double vinyl, and that theme song is pure joy every time it comes around.

The theme song’s been stuck in my head since the first spin, and the double LP spread across two records makes the whole score feel like a proper journey. Side four’s laser etching is a cool little bonus, but honestly the warmth of Hisaishi’s strings on vinyl is what sold me.
