化け猫アンズ [Blu-ray]

The Blu-ray's video transfer really brings out the soft greens of the rural temple setting, and Karin's frustration with her dad feels painfully real. Anzu's lazy charm grows on you fast, even if he's supposedly the guardian. I've already watched it twice and caught new details in the background art

The scene where Anzu lumbers into frame for the first time made me laugh out loud, and the temple setting feels so alive you can almost hear the cicadas. My kid sat through the whole thing without touching her phone, which is basically a miracle. Solid transfer, no digital noise in the darker scenes

The picture quality on this Blu-ray is stunning — the rural temple scenery and Anzu's fur texture really pop on my home setup. Karin's story hit me harder than I expected for a "ghost cat" movie, and my daughter was glued to the screen the whole time.
