風之谷的娜烏西卡 [Blu-ray + DVD]

I’ve owned this on DVD for years, but seeing it in high definition is like watching a completely different film—the colors in the forest and the detail on the Ohm shells are breathtaking. The included DVD copy is a nice bonus for lending to friends who haven’t upgraded yet. It’s a beautiful release

The transfer quality is stunning for a film this old—colors pop and the backgrounds look crisp even on a big TV. It also includes both Blu-ray and DVD, which is handy since my bedroom player is still standard definition.

This was the first Miyazaki film I ever watched and seeing it on Blu-ray made the world feel so much richer, especially the colors in the jungle and the tiny details in the background art. I really appreciate that they included the DVD too, since my older player in the bedroom can’t handle Blu-rays.
