THE FIRST SLAM DUNK [4K UHD + Blu-ray]

The 4K transfer makes the on-court action pop so vividly you can almost feel the court squeak under the players' sneakers, and the Blu-ray copy is a nice bonus for a backup watch. Ryota's backstory in Okinawa adds real weight to his lightning-speed plays, which this edition captures beautifully.

The packaging is sturdy and the 4K disc loaded without any skips on my player, which I appreciate. Ryota's backstory in Okinawa really shines through in the sharper resolution, making the emotional beats hit harder. A keeper for any Slam Dunk fan.

The 4K transfer finally does justice to the court scenes—the sweat and motion blur look incredible on my OLED. The Blu-ray disc is a nice bonus for when I want to watch it on the go, and the Miyagi-focused story hits even harder in this format.
