Lonely Castle in the Mirror [Blu-ray]

The mirror portal scene in chapter three got me right in the chest—such a beautifully quiet moment between Kokoro and the castle. The Blu-ray's crisp audio really sold the ethereal atmosphere, and I found myself rewinding that part twice just to soak it in.

The transfer quality really lets the soft watercolor backgrounds and intimate close-ups shine, and the story’s twist genuinely caught me off guard. I watched it twice in one weekend and found new details in the castle’s rooms both times.

I was a bit worried the story might drag, but the way Kokoro's journey through the mirror castle unfolds is genuinely gripping, and the Blu-ray keeps every quiet, emotional scene looking sharp and clean. The bonus features really made me appreciate the animation details I missed the first time.
