John S. ★★★★★

That shot-by-shot composition in the opening festival scene alone is worth the price, and the Blu-ray transfer keeps every frame of Yamada's color palette crisp and vivid. The special features on the disc are a nice bonus, but the film itself is what I'll be replaying on repeat.

Robert F. ★★★★★

The Ushio score sounds fantastic on the Blu-ray's uncompressed track, and the animation detail in the quieter moments is genuinely stunning. I finished it in one sitting and immediately wanted to rewatch with the director's commentary.

Victoria ★★★★★

I’ve been waiting for this one since I saw it in theaters, and the Blu-ray’s Ushio score really comes through in the quiet scenes. The colors pop beautifully, and the way Yamada frames those small teenage moments feels even more intimate at home.
