Extraordinary Tales [Blu-ray + DVD]

The animation style here is genuinely unsettling in the best way, with shadows and gothic detail that really sell the dread. Christopher Lee's voice work on the narration gives me chills every single time, and having both Blu-ray and DVD copies in the case is a nice practical bonus for switching bet

The voice performances are exactly what I hoped for—Christopher Lee’s narration alone is worth the price, and Lugosi’s segments feel like a lost treasure. I’d never seen Poe’s work adapted this way, and the Blu-ray transfer makes the colors pop far better than I expected from an older animated featu

The animated style is surprisingly faithful to Poe's gothic mood, and the voice cast—especially Lugosi's haunting turn—gives each tale real weight. I've watched the Blu-ray twice already and keep noticing new details in the backgrounds.
