Kesäpäiviä Con kanssa [Blu-ray + DVD]

Watched it on a rainy Sunday afternoon with my kids and we were all glued to the screen—the story about the fossil that turns out to be a living creature is just as charming as I remember from the manga. The Blu-ray picture is crisp and the colors really pop, and having the DVD copy in the same case

The packaging with both Blu-ray and DVD copies is a nice bonus, and the picture quality really makes the suburban Tokyo summer setting pop. I was blown away by how touching the story gets once Koichi realizes what the fossil actually is.

Watching Koichi find that fossil and realize it's actually a prehistoric coo is such a quiet little miracle, and the transfer here is crisp enough to catch every water droplet. The dual-format set is handy if you want to lend the DVD copy to a friend without giving up your Blu-ray.
