Chlapec a zvíře [Blu-ray]

The story of Kyuta and Kumatetsu hits harder than I expected—their grumpy mentor dynamic really carries the emotional weight. The Blu-ray’s picture quality makes the Beast Kingdom’s backgrounds pop, and the voice acting in both languages is solid. I’ve already rewatched the final battle twice.

The fight sequences in the Beast Kingdom look incredible in 1080p, and the contrast between Shibuya's neon streets and the shadowy beast world really pops on screen. I've watched it twice already and keep noticing new background details in the animation.

The character development between Kyuta and Kumatetsu is what really carries this film, and the Blu-ray's crisp audio makes their sparring scenes feel properly weighty. Watched it twice already, once dubbed and once subbed, and both tracks are solid.
